Who We Are

Alice Fiorica - Therapy in English and Italian- London & Online

I am a HCPC (Health and Care Profession Council) registered Psychologist, a BABCP (British Association for Behavioural Cognitive Therapy) CBT therapist an ACBS ( Association for Contextual Behavioural Science) ACT Therapist, a Coach and a Mindfulness practitioner.

I have over 15 years experience in working in public health services, charities, councils and in private practice both in the UK and in Italy.

I work with adults and young people 16+ experiencing depression and anxiety disorders;  people who want to change career and life; executives and leaders; women health; couples and parents, both individually and in groups.

In my work I integrate the proven effectiveness of CBT and the latest research on personal development and success, with the benefits of the moment by moment awareness of Mindfulness and the values oriented work of ACT.

The aim is to move forward in life by identifying unhelpful behavioural and cognitive patterns and changing what is stopping you from living a full and meaningful life. Being that limiting beliefs, difficult emotions, traumas or childhood issues.

My approach

Therapy as well as life is for me a journey of self discovery and self improvement. I greatly value the opportunity to be a companion and a support on your journey.

Together we will identify where you want to go in life and what you want to achieve with therapy. We will also identify what has got in your way up to now or is still affecting you in living the life you want to live.

I’ll be on your side to help you understand the unique message each emotion brings and to help you in developing behaviours that acknowledge the difficulty, whist still moving forward in your chosen direction.

We will use a combination of CBT, Mindfulness, ACT and Coaching to identify your values and the life you want to live, creating a Mindful awareness and a different relation with your thought and feeling, while changing unhelpful behaviours into values driven effective action that will help you achieve your goals in life. We will address any issue in an open and supportive way.

About me.

I graduated in Clinical and Social Psychology from the University of Padua, Italy in 2002 and I was a registered psychologist in Italy between 2003 and 2008. Since moving to the UK I trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) at Royal Holloway University, London, in ACT  (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness and Coaching for Success.

You can expect a therapy that is both practical and reflective, delivered with empathy, collaboration and compassion in a non judgmental, safe space that you can own.

I firmly believe in the power of a good therapeutic relationship to maximise the benefits of specific psychological techniques.


Steven McFarlane - Therapy in English-
London & Online

I am a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist , EMDR Therapist, clinical supervisor and coach. I am fully accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP.) I work with clients using an integration of traditional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and the contemporary CBT approaches of compassion-focussed Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Through EMDR I am able to help clients utilise the innate healing capacity of the brain in order to reprocess and reconfigure the difficult and traumatic memories that still affect them today.

I have over a decade’s worth of experience of providing evidence-based and effective therapy to a number of diverse clients across the UK within the NHS and in private practice. My work has primarily focused on working with clients that experience difficulties with confidence as a consequence of depression/low mood, anxiety and traumatic responses.

My approach

My approach to therapy is based on embracing the wisdom and insights of traditional approaches and applying these in the context of the scientific research into the human mind and development. In therapy I aim to form relationships with people based on kindness, honesty and mutual respect and use this as a basis for safe exploration. I am able to help people to identify and overcome patterns of thoughts, behaviours and responses through helping to understand from a place of kindness and compassion.

At the start of therapy I will encourage you to create some distance from your current problems, understand their origins, and think about what things you would like to be different. Together we can then start to explore what patterns are occurring in your life through observation and from a place of non-judgement. Collaboratively we can identify targets for change fitting with your values and current life.

Together we will be able to identify and develop your inner strength and use traditional and novel approaches to engage in actions and ways of thinking that are significant and long-lasting.

About Me

In 2006 I graduated from with an honours degree in Psychology with professional development (Brunel University) and started a continuous journey of working with people in psychological distress. In 2009, I graduated with my first qualification in CBT and Evidence-based psychological interventions (Reading University), proceeded up by a certificate in CBT in 2012 from the Salford Cognitive-Therapy Training Centre.

Having established a career in brief CBT interventions, in 2016 I graduated from King’s College having completed their Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Over the past decade I have attended training and developed skills in Compassion-focused therapy and acceptance and Commitment Therapies.

In 2019 I started Level 3 training in EMDR. I have worked steadfastly to provide the best quality support to al those that I have the pleasure of working with.

I moved to London from Spain in 2001 and I fell in love with this amazing city and the culture and lifestyle.

I am a qualified manager of business administration with 13 years experience, managing teams, invoicing, accounting and customer service.

I joined Crossroads Psychology Clinic to support the clinic team by managing inquiries, therapists diaries and finance. I am also the first point of contact for clients.

I am friendly and welcoming, my aim is to support the company’s values by providing a reliable, honest and engaging service to both clients and therapists alike.

We are all imperfect humans in an imperfect world and together we can better both ourself and society.
